Durban's entry in the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race will be skippered by Ricky Chalmers, who is hoping to lead the fleet across the Atlantic into his home port when the race visits South Africa in November.
Born in the city and educated at Durban High School and the University of Natal, Ricky, 46, has only been sailing for ten years, but has packed in plenty of experience in that time.
